Children and students have been at home for the past month and will be home for the foreseeable feature. A debate has been brewing on how learning should be going on and M-Shule has come up with the perfect solution and in perfect timing.

M-Shule is a personalised learning and training platform that uses SMS and messaging to help learners of any age gain information to succeed. They believe that everyone should be able to develop skills and improve knowledge through available technology and are using their mobile learning platform to improve skills for millions of primary school students and youth across Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa.

How it works:

M-Shule uses artificial intelligence to analyze every single learner’s capability so that they can tailor lessons and learning tracks which will build their skills. Timing is key in learning and the M-Shule platform ensures that it delivers lessons to learners at a time when they can learn and absorb lessons.

They have a team of teachers who have studied the local curriculum and have broken it into mini lessons that match the level of the learner. As they grow, the lessons are added according to their progress.

The lessons are delivered through SMS on the child’s parent’s phone while they also share analytics, insights and reports with parents and teachers. It involves a whole community approach in the growth of the student. The advantage of the system is that the SMS learning can be monitored by the school that the child attends.

During the pandemic, all learners may receive at least 2 weeks free of learning!
