Lumen Labs is an award-winning social enterprise and member of EdTech East Africa that provides project-based computer learning to underserved communities. Despite the digital revolution booming in Kenya, 70% of Kenyans still live in communities that are isolated from computer access and education. Without access to computer education--which enables both digital literacy skills and information access--it is difficult for students to keep up with the fast-evolving digital economy, or develop independent critical thinking skills. Through our programs and partnerships with NGOs and schools, we strive to create a replicable, sustainable, and holistic model for computer education.
