MHCL was registered under the companies’ Act (Cap.486), laws of Kenya in April, 2009 and is a fully owned subsidiary of Mhasibu Sacco Society Limited. It started with five directors and one staff member, and currently, this has grown to six directors, sixteen staff members and five field personnel. Mhasibu Housing was founded with the aim of enabling Sacco members to acquire affordable housing solutions by pooling resources and benefiting from economies of scale. Due to its success, especially in reducing the cost of land, members of the public were attracted by its products and at the moment MHCL serves members of the Sacco and as well as the members of the public who willingly choose to participate in MHCL projects.
