Fredrick Kaumbulu is an example of what we at Fuzu, call a super user. With a profile filled upto 95 percent, his CV is exceptional complete with references and attachments to prove his experience and expertise. He definately knows how to get the full Fuzu experience. Here's what he had to say.

Congratulations, we are proud of your career progress. How has the journey been so far?

Thank you Fuzu team for providing a platform where potential employers and job seekers meet online.

My journey has been better since I joined Fuzu since I'm able to get feedback on various organization's jobs, job closing dates, job description and minimum qualifications as well as verification on the job suitability.

Having been a Project Director of an international organization and now Senior Admin Assistant/ Ag Coordinator at Kisii University, do you think you are at the peak of your career?

Not really, Senior Administrator is administrative position of which the next level is Assistant Registrar in any of our public or private universities.

What are your career goals?

There's always room for growth; University Lecturer/ Tutor, a senior in the University Administration e.g. Registrar, Deputy Vice chancellor or Vice Chancellor, working with NGO e.g. world vision, UN, UNICEF, International Rescue Committee, Save the Children, Support for Tropical Initiative in Poverty Alleviation, Child Fund among others.

You have previously switched careers, from teaching at high school level to project management then back to the education sector though not at a teaching capacity. Is there any particular reason?

Yes, the main reason being educational advancement as I head towards my main goal as a senior manager either at the University or NGO. Income is also a factor since I am supporting many people to access education. However, am in the administration and still lecturing too.

When did you sign up on Fuzu and how was the profile creation process like?

I signed up on July 31st 2017. CV creation process was easy and demanding at the same time since I had to fill finer details which were not in my original CV for example the exact dates I attended school.

You have an impressive Fuzu profile, with certificates, references and recommendations from previous employers attached. Are you always this detail oriented?

Yes, being detailed is my nature of life. I don’t take things for granted or just the face value. In addition I keep learning every day.

By early 2000 you had already started working. How has your experience been using online platforms particularly Fuzu considering that you have experienced both the traditional and digital eras of job searching?

FUZU is amazing. Currently I can’t compare Fuzu to any other platform. In fact I have never built my CV with any other online platform. Fuzu is outstanding in its own way: - very simple and clear instructions, instant payment and reporting tool, provision of timely and wide range of available jobs, feedback on the likelihood of being a successful applicant. Fuzu keeps me updated as the job closing date approaches and also provides profiles of the best ranked candidates for the closed vacancies through the instant feedback feature for comparison purposes.

Some online platforms even give contacts of out-dated vacancies.

How has Fuzu been helpful to you and Fuzu feature do you find to be the most interesting?

I have been able to access opportunities at large institutions/NGOs such as UN, UNCEF, IRC, World Vision, Plan Kenya, and Universities such as University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, Mt. Kenya, University of Embu, among others.

I have applied for many jobs and I trust very soon I will land my desired job. My testimony will surely be with Fuzu very soon.

You have accumulated 170 Fuzu points, what would you redeem them for if they were to expire in the next couple of hours?

I will purchase instant feedback or donate to a colleague to purchase instant feedback or buy in-build FUZU CV.

We currently don’t have a sharing feature for the Fuzu points but that’s a great idea that we’d love to implement. We noticed that you have recommended Fuzu to your friends, how many so far and why?

I have recommended eight and six have already registered because they are looking for jobs and Fuzu is friendlier in accessing any job. Fuzu offers wider range of updated list of job opportunities.

From your Fuzu profile I have noticed you are interested in hotels, foods & restaurants, what is the most beautiful hotel you have been to and which memorable dish did you have there?

Holiday Inn at Westland, Nairobi.
