- Carries out routine maintenance and repairs to all types of electrical equipment such as laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment including motors and motor controls, fans, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and emergency generators.
- Attends to repair and maintenance of transformers and electrical low-tension panels.
- Attends to electrical and ancillaries installations such as audio/video cables, computer cables and HVAC systems.
- Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work in the hotel premises, including any new additional/extensions to the hotel or any other properties maintained by the hotel.
- Responds to a guest maintenance request within 15 minutes on receipt of the same.
- Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guest or public areas.
- Ensures that the plant room, workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
- Observes prescribed safety standards. Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others.
- Ensure all machines in operation conform to safety regulations as per Factories Act.
- Ensure team uses protective equipment and clothing at all times.
- Replacing all the burnt out bulbs within the premises
- Inspection of all public areas for any electric faults against the checklists
- Carry out minor electrical installation within the building
- Service and repair of electrical equipment
- Guest room’s maintenance
- Perform the tasks as assigned by the supervisor feed back to the supervisor or the Assistant Engineer
- Test the generator weekly and avail the report to the Asst. Engineer
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule
- Ensure that the uniforms are clean especially when in guest contact areas
- Takes a daily record of all the electrical meters reading and submit to plant room technician for preparation of daily utility report
- Ensures all hazardous installations/ equipment are isolated, warning signs indicating e.g. Out of order, Do not operate are in place.
- Ensuring that all machine rooms and workshops are clean and safe from live electrical and other dangerous equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of Electrical distribution board for room & workshops
- Comply with all systems and procedures as laid down by Chief Engineer
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
