HalisiGro is a social enterprise committed to supporting smallholder farmers in rural Kenya to improve their lives by transitioning them to sustainable farming practices. We achieve this by providing them training and an affordable range of inputs, and tools needed to make this transition. We are looking for a self-driven candidate who can effectively coordinate our input sales operations in Makueni County.

Your role as Operations Executive 

As an operation executive, your role will be to coordinate the day-to-day sales operations of inputs and tools in Makueni County. You will collect orders from the field teams and coordinate delivery of those orders to customers. You will also manage inventory, ensuring stock levels are adequate and there is no pilferage. You will be a key contact with senior management, collating sales data and helping inform strategic decision-making. 

You will report to the Chief Executive Officer 

Skills and Competencies required:

  • Diploma or degree in business from a recognized institution. 

  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales operations/supply chain role preferably working with Agri-inputs distributors or manufacturers 

  • Strong understanding of sales operations 

  • Experience with using MS Office and CRM software 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Good attitude, leadership skills, and interpersonal skills 

  • Willing to work with limited supervision, 

  • Good ‘on-the-spot’ problem-solving skills. 

  • Dynamic and able to adapt to new strategies as needed

  • Sales management

    • Collect sales orders from field agents and other partners. 

    • Coordinating timely delivery of inputs to customers 

    • Engage with customers to ensure that they are satisfied and that their needs are being met 

    • Identify and implement initiatives to improve the overall customer experience, from order placement to product delivery and post-sales support 

  • Inventory Management 

    • Oversee the supply chain including sourcing and timely delivery of inventory for sale. 

    • Ensuring sufficient inventory levels are always maintained through continuous planning and coordination with the field team. 

    • Managing the inventory store ensuring inventory is safe and accounted for 

  • Analytics and Insights  

    • Ensure that end-to-end reconciliation of all sales data is done daily across all segments and presented to management. 

    • Presenting monthly reports on company performance across all segments
