  • A minimum of 4 years of related public health infrastructure remodeling, renovation, or building experience. 
  • Possesses necessary practice license. 
  • Project Management certification will be an advantage
  • The ability to use AutoCAD and other relevant software for architectural drawings is desired
  • Ability to effectively use Google Suite (Google Sheets, Docs and slides).

Purpose of the position

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced architect to support our Laboratory System and Diagnostics, and Public Health Emergency Management program areas.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing Laboratory infrastructure upgrade, Emergency Operations Centers and other public health infrastructure architectural design and 3D images.
  • S/he will be responsible for ensuring that infrastructure upgrade works are in accordance with specifications detailed in the architectural design/plan and international best practices.
  • The ideal candidate is expected to have some experience in designing public health infrastructure architectural designs and 3D images
  • This role requires exceptional planning skills, collaboration ability, and strong attention to detail.

What you’ll do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for creating 3D illustrations for all the laboratory and medical supply hub facilities, emergency operations centers and other public health infrastructure. 
  • Develop architectural plans, schedules and support budgets development.
  • Experience with project scheduling software is an added advantage.
  • Support Project Manager(s) to coordinate meetings with stakeholders. 
  • Make presentations to clients, engineers, vendors and the eHA leadership team.
  • Develop architectural plans for projects including architectural drawings, specifications and schedules.
  • Ensure client expectations of individual works are achieved. 
  • Ensure all tasks are planned, supervised and executed in accordance with the specifications, drawings, and dimensions, and within the agreed limits. 
  • Evaluate the adherence of construction to the design.
