As School Nursing Assistant, you shall be required
to perform interventions, treatments, and administration
of medication as outlined in the Individualized healthcare Plan (IHP). You
shall also monitor and document the effectiveness of
interventions, treatments, and medications as well as evaluates and assure learners
of their safety at all times.
- Perform interventions, treatments, and

and vision screenings. - Educate students on
hygiene and safety practices. - Dispense prescription
medications to students per physician instructions. - Take students'
temperatures when fever is suspected. - Help to create student health
care plans. - Provide practical
day-to-day assistance to students and monitoring their vital health signs. - Liaise with the backup medical
professionals to ensure the best treatment outcome for the learners. - Ensure
ethical and evidence-based practices, in bridging health care and
education. - Provide
care coordination, advocate for quality student- centered care, and
collaborate to design systems that allow students full heath and learning
potentials. - Serve
in a pivotal role to provide expertise in the provision of school health services. - Use
clinical knowledge and professional judgment to provide high quality
health care interventions to students and staff within the school.
