Job Requirements
- Clinical degree with health care management
- Demonstrable certification and experience in Emergency care; BLS, ACLS, PHTLS or ATLS, and /or aviation medicine practice
- Excellent communication, analytical, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Agility, creativity, and problem-solving skills set.
- Critical thinking and growth
- At least 5 years supervisory/management experience with aviation sector experience
Clinical and Passenger Medical Services
- Undertake day-to-day clinical duties, e.g., walk-in clinic clients /patients and emergencies.
- Ensure smooth customary workflow of the clinic.
- Manage day-to-day medical support operations by ensuring the availability of supplies and proper functioning of medical equipment.
- Assure readiness for rapid response to emergency medical conditions and casualties.
- Manage the implementation of the full scope of Passenger Medical Services
Business continuity
- Ensure optimal support of business operations at JKIA related to health.
- Medical Emergency Preparedness and Response
- Focal person for delivery of Medical Emergency Preparedness and Support for JKIA and all KQ networks including Pandemic Preparedness.
People Management
- Manage the functional direction of clinical team providing services at the JKIA airport clinic.
- Ensure effective supervision of clinic staff managing daily staff output.
- Teamwork: Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
Administration
- Reviews and Revise applicable SOPs to JKIA medical business.
- Remains accountable to ensuring compliance to IATA, IOSA related guidelines in Aviation Health.
- Responsible for ensuring that the clinic data is complies with data management MOH standards.
- Participates and implements revenue growth initiatives for JKIA clinic.
- Ensure complete and accurate inventory of drugs and medical supplies located at the clinics and monitor/supervise their usage.
Capacity Building
- Participate in health education and addressing work environment and
- occupational health issues for staff.
- Ensure continuous skills and competence building for JKIA medical teams.
- Liaise with key stakeholders in medical emergencies at our airports.
- Maintains stakeholder relationships within JKIA ecosystem including Port Health and KAA in all matters airport health
Business Operations
- Support both JKIA and destination airports in passenger medical services as per ICA guidelines and Medical SOP.
- Delegated responsibility to manage medical emergency preparedness and Response including pandemic response.
- Key focal person in managing OTP related to KQ medical.
- Maximizing revenue at JKIA services.
- Lead, contribute to the development and review of JKIA clinic SOPs and keeping abreast of significant trends and public health events affecting aviation.
