Job Summary

We seek to hire an ambitious and experienced to assist in preparation of accounting documents, posting of transactions, and management of petty cash and preparation of reports in finance department. The successful person will be reporting to the Senior Accountant.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:
  1. Should have finance degree or a related field degree or higher diploma.
  2. CPA section 1-4
  3. 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  4. Experience in working with Accounting software i.e. QuickBooks
  5. Experience with bookkeeping practices
  6. Understanding of filing systems
  7. Knowledge of accountant rules and legislation
  8. Ability to detect inconsistencies,
  9. Prioritization skills and ability to multitask
  10. Attention to detail
  11. Proactive and results oriented
  12. Honesty and Accountability
  13. Pleasant & Positive Attitude
  14. Professionalism
  15. Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, verify and process invoices for sales or services rendered.
  2. Following up on outstanding customer outstanding balances.
  3. Checking incoming payments daily and making updates.
  4. Monitor and manage trade receivable ageing summary.
  5. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  6. Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and entering them into the general ledger or accounting software.
  7. Customer Relations management.
  8. Ensuring posting of receipts is done accurately and on a daily basis.
  9. Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
