Job application procedure

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualiﬁed Ugandans to ﬁll the following vacant posts which exist in Nansana and Kira Municipal Councils. Applications on PSF 3, should be addressed and submitted to the Secretary, District Service Commission — Wakiso P.0. Box T218 Kampala not later than 19/3/2021. Women and Persons with Special needs are encouraged to apply.

Strictly observe the following:

1. For those already in service, applying for senior positions, PSF 3 should be routed through your respective Responsible Ofﬁcer who should observe the closing date.

2. Applications must bear the title of the post applied for as well as the reference number.

3. PHOTOSTAT copies of academic certiﬁcates and transcripts fully certified by the awarding institution must be attached to the applications.

4. A current Annual practicing license [2021] for Health workers.

5. Photocopy of your National ID.

Job purpose:

To implement crop extension programmes.

Responsibilities

i. Training farmers and carrying out demonstrations in modern agronomic practices;
ii. Identifying crop pests and diseases and advising farmers on control measures;
iii. Monitoring and reporting on natural disasters;
iv. Producing monthly reports on implementation of activities;

v. Collecting and compiling agricultural statistical data; and

vi. Implementing agricultural development programmes.

Job Requirements

Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 12 months
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
