Job Summary

Properties is looking for an Assistant Property Manager to assist in marketing,
managing and evaluating the current property portfolio.The portfolio consists of residential and commercial properties that are owned by the Chandaria family. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable about the real estate industry in Kenya and have the ability to understand and follow procedures. A self-motivated team player who is highly organized, strong communication skills and knowledge of routine office procedures is required. Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel, social media engagement and optimization i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Airbnb, reporting skills, administrative writing skills, professionalism, analysing information, written and verbal communication. graphic designing skills is an added advantage to the role. The candidate will report to the CEO, Head of Finance and Head Property Manager.


Responsibilities

  1. Respond to client inquiries on email and phone call.
  2. When a serious client comes in, organise for viewings
  3.  Assist the property manager in maintaining proper documentation and organised
    filings
  4. Request for KPLC bills on due dates and forward them to the main property
    manager
  5. You will be required to pick up the cheques and drop off invoices when
    necessary
  6. Create a database of client inquiries for record purposes and follow up with
    each client once a viewing is done
  7. Work with the Property manager on Handovers and Takeovers of vacated properties
  8. Create a database for progress of each client and update on the status of the
    deals
  9. Process rental applications as efficiently and effectively as possible.
    application processing should take no longer than one week from receipt date.
  10. Checking up on any maintenance issues when visiting the sites and informing the
    property manager to have it handled by the maintenance team
  11. Speak to clients about taking on new mandates for assisting them to sale or let
    their property. Looking for new business
  12. Get all mandatory information i.e. KRA Pin, certificate of incorporation etc
    from the client
  13. Assist in updating social media and website
  14. Handling office responsibilities and updating the property manager and finance
    team when the property manager is away.
