We are a fast growing, online one-stop shop for all construction solution platform for people to discover and purchase solutions for their construction needs, based in Clement Hill, Kampala – Uganda, serving Uganda and Kenya. Established in 2017, we are a young but, vibrant, creative enterprise looking towards addressing the customers’ needs in the construction industry. We are a very ambitious organization with a team of not only highly skilled personnel, but also with complementary skills that uses technology to leverage our efforts.
We are searching for a highly creative Business development expert; who will be responsible for all aspects of the strategic development and marketing of wenahardware so as to ensure the achievement of business objectives. The bulk of your job will include recommending product introductions, execute product launches, manage promotional programs and deliver sales and profit objectives. Other key responsibilities include maintaining strong contacts with suppliers, customers and business associates, strengthening the strategic partnership and contributing to the strategic management of the business.
Develop and achieve or exceed the sales volume/revenue goals targets as defined in the Business Plan
Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota in support of Business objectives
Control/monitor the Sales budget to ensure optimum allocation of resources to different businesses and categories
Ensure marketing tools are provided to the trade to increase brand visibility and thereby achieve business objectives
Coordinate the execution of marketing & promotional activities to derive maximum benefit out of such promotional initiatives.
Conduct regular market visits to check route coverage and availability of company products in the market, track competitor’s activities & visibility
Look for new business opportunities in order to safeguard the customer base and increase market share.
Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network and route to market to ensure timely deliveries and superior levels of customer service.
Meet sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
- Up to date on the current trends of ecommerce
