Applications are invited from the suitable qualified Ugandans to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in Kalaki District Local Government. Application forms (PSC Form 3, revised 2008) to be completed in triplicate (Original handwriting) and the forms are obtainable from all Secretaries District Service Commission countrywide or Secretary Public Service Commission (PSC). Serving Officers must route their applications through their heads of departments who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. Only Certified photocopies of Academic Certificates, Transcripts, National Identity card and other relevant documents as well as 3 recent passport size photographs and day time telephone contact should accompany each application form.

To provide guidance and technical support, to the Managementon proper management and accountability for the financial resources of theDistrict in accordance with the financial laws;Qualifications
- EITHER: An Honors Bachelors Degree in either Commerce (Accounting option) orBusiness Administration (Accounting option) or Business Studies ( Accountingoption) or Finance and Accounting plus full Professional AccountingQualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ACIS, and CPE from a recognizedUniversity/institution.
- Full professional qualification in Accounting such as ACCA,CPA, ACIS, and CPE obtained from a recognized Institution and accredited byInstitute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) plus a minimum of aPostgraduate Diploma in Financial Management or Business Administration from arecognized awarding institution.
At least nine (9) years experience in accounting three (3) of which should havebeen served at the level of Principal Finance Officer in Government orequivalent level of experience from a reputable organization
i. Supervising the collection of revenue;
ii. Preparing books of accounts and accounting records;
iii. Managing, controlling and accounting for the financial resources of the District;
iv. Preparing and coordinating budgets and work plans for the District Local Government through the Budget Desk;
v. Reconciling bank statements to iron out discrepancies with cash books;
vi. Preparing financial statements and reports;
vii. Answering audit queries and mandatory inquiries whenever necessary;
viii. Providing technical support to Council on financial matters;
ix. Planning, supervising and assessing the performance of staff in the Department of Finance;
x. Reviewing and identifying alternative sources of revenue generation;
xi. Coordinating the procurement and payment for goods and services provided to the District Administration; and
xii. Enforcing adherence to financial policy, regulations and professional practices in all financial transactionsRequired education
