Job Summary

Working closelywith the KEPSA Communications team and reporting to the Head of Projects, the Communications and Digital Media Officer will support with digital communication to increase the visibility and impact in providing MSMEs with access emergency finance facility aimed to support them in recovery, resilience and Catalyzing growth during and post COVID 19. Overall, the Officer
will assist with Communications, graphic design and digital media, and ensure
brand consistency and accuracy in all publications, marketing materials and
digital content. Candidate Qualities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communications and digital media.
  • Bachelor’s
    degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, International
    Relations or related field preferred;
  • Intermediate
    to advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator,
    Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing
    software..
  • Experience
    with web design using WordPress and associated plugins.
  • Excellent
    writing skills — experience writing and editing op-eds, blogs, press releases,
    and editorial content for a brand, organization, or thought leader.
  • Knowledge of,
    and experience with HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with visual communication principles.
  • Excellent
    organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent oral
    and written communication skills.
  • Experience
    with a nonpartisan, non-profit organization is a plus.
Please note: The contract duration is for a period of one year and the candidates will be required to start immediately.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
1.   
Support in
digital communication for mobilization of the MSMEs to be enrolled for this
program; 2.   
Work with
KEPSA communication team to develop and execute communications and marketing
materials, including: publication design, infographics, data visualizations,
social media tiles, web graphics and development, and eNewsletter design. 3.   
Support in
maintaining and updating website and social media platforms, including updating
graphics, preparing documents for web, properly placing content and general
troubleshooting both technical and content problems. 4.   
Design digital
media campaigns and associated digital content aligned with the KEPSA’s goals. 5.   
Use technical
and typographic skills to arrange and style reports, marketing materials, web
content and conference signage. 6.   
Carry design
and web projects from concept to completion while adhering to strict brand
standards and ensuring production timelines are met. 7.   
Monitor trends
in graphic design, digital content, data visualization and web strategy. 8.   
Determine and
monitor effective benchmarks for measuring success metrics.9.   
Prepare
weekly, monthly, quarterly or any other periodical updates or reports as may be
required; 10. Undertake any other tasks as required and commensurate with the level of
this post that are related to the success of this program.

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 5 years
