Job Summary

Under the supervision the Communications Specialist the consultant will be shooting videos, editing and producing final products. The final product can be in form of short clips, documentary, viral videos and media video clips. The contents of the footage will mainly include work of UNICEF through its health, education and child protection sectors, its partners, project activities, project/programme launches, field monitoring, donor missions, donor communication products and any other UCO events within and outside Kampala. The videographer’s work will support the UCO through the Communication Section to promote UNICEF Uganda’s activities. The videos/footage will be disseminated to UCO target audiences, partners, donors and policy makers.


  1. Travel to field to document and shoot projects/activities and generate footage with sound bites as per specific assignments
  2. Generate a script in coordination with Communication Section
  3. To review and edit footage to produce compelling human interest stories, media news pieces, online clips and short pieces
  4. Input feedback from UNICEF, partners or teams involved in the assignment.
  5. Share row footage with UNICEF
