Overview of the role:

As our first Creative Content Lead, you will join an ambitious and people-oriented organization where you will have the opportunity to help design the future of content at Fuzu. We are at a pivotal growth stage as a business and in line with our vision to become the undisputed home of opportunities for the African market, this role will be critical in ensuring we are a thought leader when it comes to career development and talent management. You will manage and help create content, continually improve that content, and evolve our brand voice and content standards. Working with our internal and external collaborators, you will collaboratively plan, oversee, and execute the content strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Help share the evolving content strategy at Fuzu for both B2C and B2B customers
  • Develop the monthly creative content calendar, building out new concepts & themes based on market research and historical performance analysis
  • Manage both an in-house and outsourced team of content creators (writing & video) to develop strong ’hygiene’ content for our users
  • Actively support in creating the ‘Hero’ content highlighted on the platform
  • Support the marketing team to drive external traffic to content through social media and other content partnerships
  • Build partnerships with leading content providers in East Africa
Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of digital marketing, content marketing, content strategy and audience engagement is necessary
  • Great writer with strong communication skills
  • Proven experience building and growing brands through content and community
  • Strong analytical sense with excellence in data analysis and data visualization.
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Previous experience in a high growth startup is an added advantage

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
