Job Summary

A leading, focused fast growing and dynamic ICT systems integration company in Uganda with a clear focus on industry specific solutions from leading IT vendors in the area of Data Centre infrastructure, Security solutions, Core Banking & Lending Solutions, ERP and Enterprise Asset Management solutions is looking for personnel in the following areas to enhance it’s existing team and build on existing successes while at the same time addressing new client needs.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 4/5 years’ experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of UNIX Servers, Intel Servers & Storage systems ( Either NetApp, IBM, HP or EMC Storage), along with a demonstrated capacity through certifications from brand vendors like IBM / HP or SUN(Oracle)/EMC. Knowledge & certification on Storage BACKUP Management Software will be an advantage.

• VMWare VCP 6.7 certification is required
• A Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Or ICT Or equivalent.
• Must have been engaged in a similar capacity with ability to oversee & maintain project time lines on Implementation/Installations of Servers, Disaster Recovery solutions at critical DR sites along with a sound knowledge of SAN environments.
• Must be capable of ensuring that timely warranty & support services are rendered to enterprise clients.


Responsibilities

  1. Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
  2. Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  3. Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries
  4. Organize workflow to meet customer timeframes
  5. Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
  6. Manage customers' accounts
  7. Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  8. Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
  9. Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process
