Job Summary

An Officer at this level will be responsible to the Audit, Risk and Compliance Manager for generating the Hospital overall internal control and risk management of its operations and to independently perform risk based audits in line with the agreed audit plan to identify and assess the effectiveness of controls accuracy of financial records, systems and efficiency of operation risk management and compliance with Government regulations..


Responsibilities

  • Developing and formulating internal audit policy guidelines and analyzing the impact on regulations;
  • Developing risk management strategies and initiatives to identify and mitigate risks in the Hospital;
  • Coordinating regular audit on systems, processes and procedures leading specific audit assignments;
  • Conducting in accordance to the auditing standards segments of financial, operations, systems and compliance audits to operations;
  • Carrying out investigation on suspected fraudulent and corrupt activities within the Hospital;
  • Audit of financial statements to ensure compliance with laid down standards;
  • Reviewing internal control systems in operation and reporting on any weaknesses;
  • Reviewing and evaluating the system of internal controls, while assessing their adequacy, effectiveness and proposing recommendations for their improvement;
  • Ensuring compliance with Government statutes, regulations and guidelines and applicable laws and regulations;
  • Preparing detailed audit findings and ensure implementations of internal audit recommendations;
