Our client, an international Hotel Chain in Nairobi, is looking for an experienced F&B Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall smooth and economical running of the F&B department. Strong accent is to be given to the hospitality towards the guest as a prime goal and thus to maintain and develop the attitude of the related staff. Must have international hotel chain experience!
Responsibilities
Provide positive leadership to all people within the Food & Beverage Department.
Responsible for recruitment, training, motivation, working conditions, internal communications, quality control, employee empowerment and staff recognition within the Food & Beverage Department.
Act as a positive, contributing member within the hotel’s management.
Develop a comprehensive business plan for the Food & Beverage Department.
To report and explain to outlet managers financial objectives and actual results on an ongoing basis.
Approve menus and wine lists.
Work in conjunction with the Executive Chef to ensure the service team product. knowledge of all menu items and ingredients is thorough.
Maximize sales and control costs to enhance F&B margins.
To drive the performance of the Food & Beverage team members, including completion of performance appraisals, coaching counselling and performance management in conjunction with Human Resources.
