Job Application Procedure
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following position that exits in the service of Amuru District Local Government.
Application Forms [PSO Form 3 Revised 2003) and ESC Form 3 [Revised 1998] for officers in the Education Department are obtainable from the following offices, Public Service Commission, District Service Commissions countrywide.
Filled Forms in triplicate together with three recent passport size photographs of those who meet the stipulated requirements below must reach the office of the Secretary District Service Commission P. 0 Box1074, Gulu NOT later than four {4} weeks from the date of this advertisement. Sewing Officers must route their applications through their Head of Department. The application must bear the post title applied for as well as the Reference Number.
Only photocopies of the Academic certificates and NOT originals must be attached to the application.

Job Purpose
To control tsetse flies and promote of Productive Entomology.
Qualifications
An Honours Bachelors Degree in Science with a bias in Entomology and Parasitology from a recognized University/Institution.

Responsibilities

i. Gathering and disseminating market information on productive insects;
ii. Supervising deployment of tsetse traps and targets;
iii. Carrying out tsetse survey in new areas;
iv. Sensitizing communities to participate in tsetse control;
v. Training bee farmers for qualitative and quantitative production of bee products;
vi. Setting up apiary and sericulture demonstration centers.

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 2 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
