Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Academic Affairs, the Examination Officer will be in charge of all matters relating to students’ examination registration, booking, administration and records.


1. To manage inquiries received via e-mail and telephone relating to examinations;

2. To process examination entries received from candidates;
3. Ensure that students are registered for their respective examinations on time;
4. Assist in supervision of the conduct of both internal and external examinations;
5. Keep up-to-date with all examination requirements and ensure that staff and students are aware of the relevant regulations
6. Assist in the preparation for and organization of all exams, both internal and external, in accordance with the regulations laid down by the regulators, the examination board and the institutions management;
7. To receive, record and store all examination papers as they arrive and be responsible for all examination stationery;
8. Assist in providing a solution for students who have an exam clash, or other special requirements and ensure arrangements for candidates with special needs are made during their examinations;
9. Be present at the start and finish of each examination session where possible and to check attendance according to seating plans;
10. To deal with and resolve inquiries or complaints regarding any exams from staff, students, parents and exam boards;
11. Any other duties that may be allocated to you by your supervisors from time to time.
12. Having used the Library KOHA system will be an added advantage
