Job Summary

The Field officers will support this intervention; depot committees being local farmer organization’s in-charge of supporting coffee farmers, (for instance through gathering coffee from member farmers and finding better markets for the farmers). The Field officer will implement the FFU strategy for increasing fertilizer and cash advance portfolio by ensuring quality data collection. The jobholder will collect, organize and ensure timely entry of coffee bulking data at the depot committees into proprietary Ibero (U) ltd mobile systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Mentor and train farmers on how to use Ibero Proprietary Software
  2. Provide technical assistance to applicants and active farmers.
  3. Advise and inform farmers on the fertilizer and cash advances.
  4. The Field Officer will propose updates on policies, manuals and tools relating to the coffee bulking system.
  5. Provide regular reports on coffee bulking
  6. Organize meetings to educate farmers about Ibero Uganda products and services
  7. Receive applications for fertilizer and cash advances
  8. Ensure efficient communication between Ibero and the farmer groups
