Job Summary

Our client, an international investment company in Kenya is looking for a driven Finance Modeler/Manager for a Start-Up Hub in Mombasa. As a financial modeller, he/she will be responsible to build the entrepreneurs understanding of business projections and the importance of financial management. He/she will also be expected to work closely with and supervise the accountants as well as developing and reporting on KPIs for all start-ups under the different programmes.


Responsibilities

  1. Build financial models, revenue projection models, budgets and Key Performance. Indicators for and together with the start-ups.
  2. Perform full quality assurance of all financial models.
  3. Assist the subsidiaries in improving financial management systems, KPIs reporting and preparing for external audits.
  4. Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  5. Report to the Board of Directors abroad on monthly financial results, deviations and financial management issues, as well as on KPIs.
  6. Assist in budgeting, setting up financial accounting system, banking system.
  7. Assist the start-ups to prepare the figures for seed funding applications and investor presentations.
  8. Advice the Board regarding seed funding and investment decisions.
  9. Contribute to developing new profitable and sustainable companies.
  10. Present financial training material in front of an audience.
  11. Prepare deal briefs and financial documents for potential investors and other stakeholders.
