Job Summary

Bachelors degree in any of the following fields; Fisheries, Zoology, Aquatic Sciences,Natural Resource Management, Biochemistry, Food Sciences and Technology,Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemistry or anyother equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
 Certificate in computer applications skills from recognized institution.

Responsibilities

 Receiving and compiling fisheries related statistical data from field officers.

 Analyzing fisheries data and preparing reports
 Assisting in monitoring, control and surveillance of the fisheries resources.
 Undertaking fisheries extension activities; maintaining of fish ponds at fish farm and  hatcheries.
 Inspecting fish and fish handling facilities at fish landing sites, markets and farms and
 Assisting in the promotion of fish marketing and value addition.

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 18 months
Required skills: Commercial fishing (inland, sea, other); File management and data back-up; Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook; Collaboration; Regulations
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
