Our client, a Members club in Nairobi, is looking for an Enthusiastic General Manager. The successful candidate will report to the Club Management Committee and will lead and manage the overall operations of the club, including accommodation, office rentals, pool, gym, sport facility and bar. He/She will also manage member issues and events held by the club. The GM will lead a team of administration and other staff to ensure the club runs efficiently and for the club members and guests expectations.
- Manage the overall operation of the Club, its grounds and activities.
Liaise with Members and address all issues raised by them.
Develop an operating budget for each of the department’s revenue outlets.
Attend Committee meetings, take minutes and ensure integration and coordination of all social events.
Arrange planning, admissions and finance meetings.
Develop new ways in which to stimulate member activities and participation.
Ensure that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to.
Ensure financial policies and procedures are followed.
Monitor all financial transactions and Bank dealings.
Manage, monitor and distribute all Members monthly accounts.
Ensure Club is Tax compliant – VAT, PAYE, W/H Tax, Training Levy etc.
Manage staffing needs: Job descriptions, Interviews, Select, Train conduct regular appraisals, supervise, counsel and discipline employees.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for all departments.
