Job Summary

BURN designs, manufactures, and distributes aspirational
improved cooking products that save lives and forests in the developing
world. BURN is the leading cookstove
company in Sub-Saharan Africa and has revolutionized the global cookstove
sector by proving the business case for selling high quality, locally
manufactured, and unsubsidized cookstoves.
Since 2013, BURN has sold 350,000 improved cookstoves in East Africa.
These stoves have helped 1,500,000+ beneficiaries save $52 million in fuel
expenditures and 1,156,221 tons of wood while reducing indoor air pollution by
65%. BURN currently sells ~15,000 stoves per month and are on track to double
sales over the next 12 months.
We are looking for a General Trade Sales activator to assist
our Sales Team in Eldoret. This person needs to be dynamic and have a real
can-do attitude.


and responsibilities

  • Sell BURN Products. Focusing on selling wholesale into the General Trade
    channel. Have the flexibility and aptitude to learn and work within other
    dales channels such as Modern Retail supermarkets, corporates, financial
    institutions, and other distributors as needed.
  • Training BURN end-consumers, distributors, and agents of distributors
  • Perform sales activations in locations as requested by their manager.
  • Ensure he/she has a thorough understanding of the BURN products he/she is selling.
  • Perform demos, where possible.
  • Always have a positive, friendly and approachable manner with customers.
  • Arrive punctually and dressed in the right uniform.
  • Attendtrainings and meetings in BURN office as requested.
  • Do not abuse the advance given for expenses incurred in carrying out your

Job Requirements

Required education: Vocational school
Required relevant work experience: 12 months
Required skills: Business to Business (B2B) sales; Presentation skills; Direct sales; Consumer sales (B2C); Retail sales; Activation campaigns; Product demonstration and promotion
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
