On the high-frequency use of our transportation service, SafeBoda is providing value to consumers, our drivers and passengers, with additional financial services, payments and other on-demand services to keep Africa moving forward. Currently based in Nairobi, Barcelona and Kampala, we are a venture funded company that is already having huge impact on millions of people in East Africa.
SafeBoda is looking for a Head of Growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced data-driven business person with strong product, growth marketing and business strategy experience. This means having strong data analytics skills, structured hypothesis driven problem solving skills and an experimental, start-up mentality. You will work closely with the senior management of the company and will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future.
- Lead Growth at SafeBoda and build a team to drive this work.
- Work with Product Managers, Ops, Marketing, Data Analytics, and Developers to scope, build, test new initiatives to increase growth of our core business.
- Own key KPIs related to our funnel, focusing on acquisition, conversion and retention.
- With data, lead our funnel optimization, growth analytics and product experimentation - this might mean looking at funnel conversion rates and user experience by exploring transaction data, customer activity within our app and customer qualitative research.
- Proactively identify opportunities to grow SafeBoda’s rides, via both online and offline opportunities using insights and evidence from experiments you have devised.
- Drive the prioritization, strategy, and focus on solutions to solve user problems and communicate this with the entire C-level.
- +5 years of professional experience including investment banking, finance, private equity, consulting, tech or a start-up.
- Proven business strategy and consulting experience - you have the ability to navigate ambiguity, juggle multiple tasks, think independently and problem solve in a structured manner.
- Data analytics expertise with a passion for quantitative analysis. Knowledge of software packages for data analysis is a plus.
- Passion and interest for tech products - experience in product launching, testing and related analysis is a huge plus.
- Proven ability to work well across different teams and get things done.
- Knowledge of the latest digital marketing and other acquisition tools for growth hacking is a plus
- Strong academic performance with at a minimum a completed Bachelor/Undergraduate degree with excellent grades.
