Job Summary

Job Purpose:

Ensures that the organization delivers the capability to develop innovative strategies, products, services and processes and that in the end enhance customer satisfaction and internal organizational efficiencies.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
1. Bachelors in Computer Science/ Information Technology
2. Masters in Computer Science/Information Technology/Business Management is an added advantage
3. 7-10 years’ experience in IT Service delivery, Project management and System Development, 3-4 years of which should be in a management position
4. ITIL Foundation
5. Relevant IT professional qualifications such as
a. Certified Business Analyst Professional - CBAP
b. TOGAF Certified Enterprise Architect
c. Oracle Certified Master - Java EE
d. Project Management Professional (PMP)
6. 5 years’ experience in design, build and operation of system critical applications in the telecommunication, banking or insurance industry.

• Ensure alignment of strategy, objectives and deliverables within the function;
• Develop innovative partnerships and distribution channels to increase Britam’s market penetration;

• Provide access to accurate and consistent information and services across all channels;

Technical/Functional Competencies :
1. Demonstrate a strong understanding of and high regard for emerging mobile, web technologies and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as project management processes and execution
2. Have expert knowledge of Mobile infrastructure, internet technologies, ecommerce and e-payment technologies
3. A sound understanding of portfolio, programme and project management and a track record of delivering and enabling large-scale complex change programmes
4. Exceptional inter-personal skills
5. Leadership skills
6. Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
7. Excellent organizational and analytical skills


  1. The role holder will be responsible for the overall the Group Reward Strategy and ensuring policies and practice are aligned to the business and people strategies; 
  2. Ensuring compliance with all the necessary statutory regulations and legislations in the various jurisdictions where the Group operates;
  3. Prepare  communication briefs and facilitate forums  on compensation  related  changes emanating either from the Group or new regulation;
  4. Conduct annual remuneration surveys and carry out research in all countries that Britam operates and make recommendations on compensation and benefits based on remuneration trends and best practices in those jurisdictions;
  5. Continously review and update reward/ benefits policies to ensure fairness,equity  and competitiveness in line with the reward strategy; 
  6. Facilitate the payment of annual salary increments, and bonuses for all staff where Britam operates in liaison with the relevant stakeholsers;  
  7. Analyse, report and communicate key HR metrics to HR Director using approriate dashboards;
  8. Provide expert advice to the leadership on reward relates matters
  9. Management of the Payroll systems to ensure optimization is realized and that there is efficiency to staff and Britam Financial Advisors;
  10. Determine impact of existing benefits and compensation policies on retention and recruitment;
  11. Develop, train, coach, motivate and evaluate functional staff to achieve highest levels of performance; and
  12. Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 7 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
