Job Summary

Job Qualifications

  1. Be a Kenyan citizen;
  2. Be a holder of at least a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Diplomacy, Public Relations or any other relevant field from a university recognized in Kenya;
  3. Master’s Degree in International Relations, Diplomacy, Public Relations or any other relevant field will be an added advantage;
  4. Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C+ and above;
  5. Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than five (5) years in a senior position in the Public Service or Private Sector in the portfolio applied for;
  6. Be a strategic thinker and results oriented;
  7. Have capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines;
  8. Be computer literate; and
  9. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
  10. Excellent interpersonal communication and reporting skills


  1. Planning, organizing and supervising protocol activities of the Government;
  2. Coordinating all protocol related activities within the division;
  3. Planning, managing, documenting and reporting on Government Protocol Services;
  4. Providing protocol support and public relations services;
  5. Implementing activities and assignments relating to maintaining and enhancing the image of the County Government;
  6. Facilitating movement, accommodation and appointments for County officials and guests;
  7. Planning and coordinating protocol service during official events, important meetings and receptions organized by the Government; and
  8. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
