Job Summary

To Support the performance management and training functions of the bank

Minimum requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree from reputable university in Humanities and
  2. Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage
  3. 5 years of professional human resources generalist experience at a Managerial level.
  4. 3 years of direct experience developing, implementing or evaluating performance appraisal systems emphasis with Balance Score card
  5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, counselling and decision making skills
  6. Should be capable of assessing training needs and developing training plans and executing the plan
  7. Should be to align human resource strategies to the business strategy
  8. Should be knowledgeable about the labour legislations
  9. Should be able to conduct salary/benefits surveys
  10. Experience developing employee performance measures.
  11. Experience providing training to managers and/or employees on performance management systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversees the development and implementation of the bank’s performance appraisal program and provide advice and recommendations to management and staff.
  2. Maintain an accurate database of all financial and non-financial rewards given to staff for performance achievements.
  3. Provide management with a quarterly report on staff performance ratings and rewards, including recommendations and analyses
  4. Oversee the development and implementation of the bank’s core values, and key performance measures into performance appraisal system.
  5. Provides ongoing oversight and support to ensure that performance measures are being used to effectively manage operations, identify and manage risks, and effect organizational change.
  6. Develops and conducts presentations and training to management and staff on the performance appraisal system.
  7. Provides training to all levels of staff on performance management system.
  8. Handle developing and implementing bank’s performance improvement plans.
  9. Manage and implement the training program for the bank both for external and internal trainings
  10. Develop a talent program and maintain key talent of the bank.
  11. Conduct assessments and gap analysis on employee skills and training.
  12. Assess various staffing needs to determine methods to address current and future conditions, including retention management, realignment, recruitment planning, and career development.
  13. Assists with developing training plans, identifying educational opportunities for employee development.
  14. May assist with change management initiatives by conducting readiness assessments, job-impact analysis, and skill and capability assessments.
