Job Summary

Essential skills and qualifications

Master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
At least five years of relevant work experience in the area of science writing and editing.
Extensive experience writing and editing science communications products for a range of audiences
Impeccable English writing and editing skills
High-level proficiency with Drupal, Microsoft Office and social media applications
Interest in science, agriculture and development sector, with interest in gender issues a strong advantage
Highly organized, detail oriented and strong self-starter

Responsibilities

Scope of Work
The purpose of this consultancy is to support the CGIAR GENDER Platform to write and edit high-quality content for its resource hub and website as well as for other purposes.
Deliverables:

Write summaries of tools and methods for GENDER’s resource hub
Edit evidence explainers for GENDER’s resource hub
Write and edit other content for GENDER, including blog posts
Support content management
Edit GENDER publications, as needed

Job Requirements

Required education: Post-graduate education
Required relevant work experience: 5 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
