Job Summary

Cytonn Investments is an independent investments management firm, with offices in Nairobi - Kenya and D.C. Metro - U.S. We are primarily focused on offering alternative investment solutions to global and local institutional investors, individual high net-worth investors, and diaspora investors interested in the East-African region.

Our investments are in real estate and private equity. Real estate investments are made through our development affiliate, Cytonn Real Estate, where we currently have over Kshs. 82 billion (USD 820 mn) of projects under mandate across ten projects. In private equity, we invest in banking, insurance, education, hospitality and technology. Our financial services investments in Sub Saharan Africa are made through our Cytonn Financial Services Fund (CFSF) through which we are the 5th largest shareholder in NIC Bank in Kenya. Investments in education and hospitality are made through Cytonn Education Services and Cytonn Hospitality, respectively.

In order to better serve our clients, we are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, team player to work as the Independent Financial Advisor Manager. The position will afford the successful individual a unique opportunity to participate in both a strong incentive structure and equity ownership plan.

REQUIREMENTS
  1. Degree, with at least a 2nd Class Upper Division is preferred
  2. At least a B+ in KCSE is preferred
  3. A minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in the financial services industry
  4. Understanding of product management principles
  5. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  6. Proven sales and management skills of a distribution platform
  7. Leadership skills
  8. Problem solving skills
  9. Numerical skills
  10. People skills
  11. Ability to work with and influence sales channels, in particular the broker network and senior sales leaders
  12. Proven leadership capabilities

Responsibilities

  1. Recruit, select, train and develop Independent Financial Advisors
  2. To formulate marketing, sales and distribution channels for the company as well as manage the distribution process
  3. Participate in the development of the marketing plans, budgets and pricing for the Cytonn products
  4. Plan and coordinate sales and marketing activities to build and generate new business
  5. To build, maintain and strengthen good public relations with existing clients, investors, corporate companies, business community, professionals, high net worth clients and government agencies
  6. Participate in the development of investment products that meet client needs
  7. Determine annual IFA performance budgets and plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results
  8. Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volumes for existing and new products
  9. Plan to ensure achievement of Individual and team targets, aligning with company sales policies and strategies
  10. Manage, develop and motivate the IFA team to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met
  11. Provide on-the-ground support for IFAs as they generate leads and close new deals
  12. Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
  13. Develop, maintain and execute a regional expansion plan
  14. Continually assess the IFA Network, develop and evaluate its performance and manage any conflicts while ensuring alignment with Cytonn values and policies
