Job application procedure
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts that exist in Moyo District Local Government. Applications should be filled in triplicate on PSF 3 (Revised 2008) and submitted to the Secretary, Moyo District Service Commission P.0. Box 1, Moyo not later than Friday, 26th February 2021.
The application forms (PSF 3 Revised 2008) is obtainable from Secretaries of District Service Commissions or can be downloaded from the Public Service Commission website, websitewww.psc.go.ug. Serving officers must route the applications though their Heads of Department or institutions, who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. The job Title and vacancy Reference Number must be quoted.
Applicants are required to attach certified photocopies of their academic certificates, transcripts, Registration Certificates and Licenses for professional cadres, copies of appointment and confirmation letters as it may apply. 3 recent original passport size photographs to each of the application forms and indicate valid telephone contact.

Job Purpose
Responsible for keeping inventory operations smooth and efficient in the inventory room and receiving department.

Responsibilities

  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Inspect the levels of District supplies and raw material to identify shortages
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand
  • Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
