Job Summary

A service-oriented and self-motivated professional with excellent interpersonal skills to join our IT support team. In this entry-level role, you will work on maintaining and monitoring the computer systems and networks for our business. You will be tasked with solving complex technical issues and will also collaborate with the business team to create and deliver presentations at meetings.
Technical Support Requirements:
  • First Class Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, software engineering/computer engineering plus Telecommunications Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical support role, desktop support, or a similar role.
  • A good level of technical understanding, with enthusiasm for new technology and its commercial uses.
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Certification in Microsoft, Linux, or Cisco is advantageous.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications.

  • Install and configure software and computer hardware, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware, plus diagnosing and repairing faults
  • Walk colleagues through steps to help them resolve their technical problems.
  • Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of products and services offered plus possess expertise in fundamental IT principles in order to answer technical questions during meetings.
  • Using IT expertise to explain product features and benefits to prospective clients
  • Support the implementation of new solutions or applications.
  • Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
  • Participate in business-wide meetings to provide insight into technical requirements.
  • Attending initial sales meetings and meeting the client, determining a client’s business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable
  • Deciding whether the software or hardware needs adapting to meet the client’s needs
  • Presenting your findings to the business team.
  • Conducting electrical safety checks on equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends; pay close attention to trends in the IT industry in order to understand what customers need.

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 12 months
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
