Job Summary

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver the curriculum through the scheduled teaching programme.
  2. Perform duties and attend meetings as required.
  3. Assess and record students’ progress, prepare reports and take part in parental consultations.
  4. Observe and implement current school policies and good practice.
  5. Participate in the school’s performance management scheme.
  6. Identify and assess students with unique learning needs and understand with strengths weakness and learning styles.
  7. Work collaboratively with academic staff, parents and mentors to support students are required.
  8. Motivate students towards attaining progress, including assisting in target setting and monitoring progress
  9. Assess effectiveness of the various interventions and strategies to ensure learning progress
  10. Participate in admission and exclusion processes as required.
  11. Provide emergency cover (rarely and in unforeseen circumstances) for absent teachers.
  12. Undergo in-service training where required to keep abreast of developments in school initiatives curriculum and subject areas.
  13. Carry out such particular duties as the Head teacher may reasonably direct from time to time.
