Manager I - Digital Workplace Services Project Portfolio Manager

Job Summary
Responsible for managing of Digital Workplace project portfolio. Serves as a project manager for large initiatives. Works on knowledge adoption and sharing of project management practices among Digital Workplace Services project managers. Recommends departmental-specific procedures and implements those that are approved. Provides input to the development of the annual operating budget for functional areas of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree
  
• Demonstrated working knowledge of: (1) Catholic Church organizational structures and (2) Catholic Social Teaching.
  
• Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point as well as other platforms.
  
• Project management certification.
  
• In-depth understanding of Digital Workplace Services technology environment.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  
• Minimum of four-six years of relevant work experience required
  
• minimum of two years of supervisory/management experience.
  

Roles and Key Responsibilities

• Manager for Digital Workplace Services project portfolio:
  • Coordinates project managers within Digital Workplace Services project portfolio.
    
  • Tracks health of project portfolio.
    
  • Assesses priorities, risks, issues, and opportunities, relative to both existing project portfolio and incoming initiatives, and provide recommendations to Director of Digital Workplace Services.
    
  • Addresses portfolio risks, issues, and conflicts.
    
  • Maintains and communicate portfolio reports on scheduled and as-needed basis;
    
  • Continuously improves project management processes.
    
• Project Management for large initiatives:
  • Serves as a program manager for End User Experience program.
    
  • Serves as a project manager for Active Directory Globalization project.
    
• Knowledge adoption and sharing:
  • Provides project management guidance to Digital Workplace Services project managers.
    
  • Serves as a mentor for Digital Workplace Services project managers, where required.
    
  • Leads Digital Workplace Services project management community of practice.
    
• Recommends departmental-specific procedures and implements those that are approved.
  
• Provides input to the development of the annual operating budget for functional areas of responsibility.
  
• Proactively identifies and recommends the need for new or enhanced procedures.
