The Higher Education Students’ Financing Board (HESFB) is a body Corporate established by an Act of Parliament, number 2 of 2014, to provide both Loans and Scholarships to Ugandan Students to pursue higher Education. The objective of the Student Loan Scheme is to increase equitable access to Higher Education in Uganda and also support qualiﬁed students who may not afford the cost of Higher Education.

- Implement the Loan recovery strategy and management of debt portfolio of the Board by meeting the recovery targets.
Manage and review Board credit operations, policies and procedures.
Initiating the processing of repayments and restructuring proposals for Non-performing Loans.
Submission of loans to upgrade with regard to Credit Referencing.
Analyse and report the performance of the loan portfolio on a monthly basis/quarterly by clients for management and Board and provide remedial actions where necessary.
Undertake supervision of the Senior Recoveries officers and to ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures.
Direct liaison with legal department, external lawyers , and collection agencies in the loan recovery process.
