Job Summary

Ref: UBTEB/HRM/001/01/2018
The Manager Vocational Education will be a focal person to the current departmental institutions and programmes and offer guidance for all modularized programmes that are highly skills based up to level three.

Three sets of handwritten applications with detailed CVs and photocopies of Academic Certificates, Testimonials, Transcripts and/or Result slips; Three (3) most recent and clear passport size photographs, Names and addresses of two referees, A letter of recommendation from the current or most recent employer, telephone contacts and emails of both the applicant and the referees; should be submitted in sealed envelopes and hand delivered. The Job title and Reference Number should be clearly written on the top left corner of the envelope.


Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the timely and appropriate development of examination test items in Vocational fields for every series of examinations;
  2. Ensure the appropriate and timely moderation of examination test items in Vocational fields for every series of examinations;
  3. Ensure appropriate editing and proof reading of examination test items in Vocational fields before final processing of examination;
  4. Ensure appropriate curriculum and or examination syllabi in the vocational fields are put in place and adhered to during item development and other processes in the examination cycle;
  5. Oversee the process of production of academic documents in the departmental disciplines;
  6. Ensure, monitor and coordinate the verification of continuous assessment marks/results students from Examination Centers in the Vocational fields;
  7. Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Deputy ES Examination Management Directorate;
  8. Be responsible for coordinating the field assessment for real life projects and industrial training for Vocational fields so as to monitor process efficiency and productivity;
  9. Assist the Deputy ES Examination Management in implementing compliance of set standards and guidelines in execution of the examination processes; and
  10. Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.
