Draft, review and advise on mining contracts and agreements, compliance of mineral rights and legal matters with relevant existing laws of Uganda, resolve legal disputes, monitor tax compliance and liaise with the office of the Attorney General on matters concerning mineral exploration, licensing and mining
i. A minimum of a Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Law from a recognised University
ii. Postgraduate training in Mining Law is a MUST
iii. Any qualifications in Mineral Policy and Law, Regulation and Management of Mining, will be an added Advantage:
At least five (5) years of professional working experience in handling cases related to the Mineral Sector.
i. Ensure that all applications for mineral rights are compliant with relevant existing laws of Uganda.
ii. Advise the Directorate on all legal matters pertaining to the mining industry,
iii. Advise on the resolution of legal disputes arising out of all business processes and activities of the mineral sector
