Job Summary

This role will involve taking ownership of our Nairobi office space. The Office Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, safety and to create the best working environment for the team. We are currently a team of 11 in Nairobi, expecting to grow significantly over the next year and become the Wefarm Hub in Africa.More specifically you’ll be doing

Responsibilities

Office coordination and Management
  • Work with space providers to ensure that the Kenya office runs smoothly, has optimal services and that general presentation of the office is up to the required standard.
  • Ensure that office supplies (stationery, equipment, etc.) are available and maintained at appropriate levels. Additionally, coordinate day to day office administration i.e deliveries, filing & finance errands
  • Support the Operations function with the administration of the medical, property and public liability insurance cover, and health and safety assessment to ensure the office environment is safe and conducive for business
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlords, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time.
  • Event planning & Logistics
  • Support planning of strategic events e.g yearly team offsite (Wecamp) and departmental off-site meetings.
  • Plan team-building activities to promote culture and Values.
  • Manage and coordinate logistics for travels to and from Nairobi by negotiating corporate rates with service providers i.e Hotels and travel agencies
  • Support VP Africa and other executives visiting with calendar management and travel planning.

Job Requirements

Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 12 months
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
