The PR & Digital Executive is responsible for conceptualizing and executing public relations strategies designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for both the agency and the agency’s clients. This includes, but is not limited to establishing and maintaining working relationships with media networks and any relevant 3rd party influencers, recommending relevant media programmes and strategies in line with client/agency and offering media counsel to clients and the agency.
1. Business Growth & Profitability
a. Digest internal and external briefs and support the development and conceptualisation of high impact strategies, as per client briefs and consistent with the agency’s policy on new business development.
b. Deliver 80 percent of billable time (either to client or agency) every month as required by the agency.
2. Client Relationship Management
a. Develop and manage relationships with the agency and the agency’s clients with the media including but not limited to local, regional and international as well as other non-conventional media such as online and social media.
3. Media Relations & Management
a. Draft, Edit powerful editorial content for and on behalf of the agency or the agency’s clients such as press releases, speeches, talking points or by-line articles consistent with the agency’s high standards and communication guidelines.
b. Execute and manage impactful media events that will yield value for the agency and or the agency’s clients and stakeholders. These include, but are not limited to press conferences, press breakfasts and press camps.
c. Establish and maintain working relationships with media networks and any relevant 3rd party influencers
4. Social Media Management
a. Draft, Edit powerful editorial content for and on behalf of the agency or the agency’s clients such as press releases, social media comments, or by-line articles consistent with the agency’s high standards and communication guidelines.
b. Execute brand comms on clients’ and agency social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and LinkedIn accounts.
5. Agency Relations & Reputation Management
a. Protect the image of the agency and that of its clients. This includes but is not limited to, media monitoring to ensure the agency and its clients are presented in the right image, syndicating agency communication and that of its clients to as many news outlets as possible and writing and distributing agency announcements.
b. Constantly identify new, unconventional and impactful ways in which the above activities can be done, consistent with the agency’s policy on innovation
