Job application procedure
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under-listed vacant posts that exist in Ntungamo District Local Government and Ntungamo Municipal Council. Applications must be submitted in triplicate on Public Service Commission Form 3 (Revised 2008) and ESC FORM No.3 (Revised 1998) for Teachers to the Secretary, District Service Commission, Ntungamo P.O Box 1, Ntungamo and to be received no later than December Wednesday 9, 2020 at 5:00 pm. Application forms can be obtained from Secretaries of District Service Commissions, Offices of Chief Administrative Officers, Town Clerk’s for Municipal Councils, Public Service Commissions and be submitted to the Secretary, District Service Commission P.O Box 1 Ntungamo, stating clearly the post applied for and its reference number. Those already in public service must route their applications through their Heads of Departments who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. Certified photocopies of Academic Certificates, Transcripts, and Identity cards from all the Institutions/schools attended, registration certificates, and Annual practicing licenses where applicable and any other supporting documents with 3passport size photographs must be attached on the application forms. Those that will be invited for interviews must come with all original academic and professional documents, Identity cards from all the Institutions/Schools attended. Job Purpose
To carry out the overall administration and management of a Parish Unit in the Local Government.
Qualifications
• “A” Level Certificate from a recognized Institution.
• Certificate in either Public Administration and Management or Social Work and Social Administration
• Post basic training lasting not less than two (2) years in areas of education, environment, and public administration will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and compiling reports on parish operations for the attention of the Sub-County Chief;
  • Collecting and accounting for Local revenue in the Parish;
  • Preparing work plans and budgets for the operations of the Parish;
  • Enforcing the implementation of National and Local Government policies, programs and Council bye-laws in the Parish;
  • Undertaking the mobilization of the Parish Community for Government development programs and projects;
  • Providing technical support to the Parish Council on any matters relating to lower Local Government governance;
  • Undertaking duties of Secretariat to the Parish Council;
  • Managing and monitoring Local Government projects implemented in the Parish;
  • Coordinating the maintenance of law and order in a parish;

Job Requirements

Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 18 months
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
