Job Summary

Responsible for the Bank’s procurement processes including; procurement requests processing, supplier selection, order evaluation, facilitation of approvals by the Tender Committee and services’ evaluation.


Responsibilities

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management

  1. Timely execution of all product and service supply requirements from internal stakeholders.
  2. Support in the receipt of feedback on the service provision of the external service providers, and management of the feedback to drive customer satisfaction
  3. Build sustainable relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver win-win supply engagements and associated benefits
Operational Performance
  1. Implement the Bank’s procurement system, policies and procedures; and initiate reviews where necessary
  2. Fast track the processing of user requests and provide timely feedback to stakeholders on the status of their requests.
  3. Implements early Strategic Sourcing involvement in the project life cycle to better influence strategy and results
  4. Implements effective category strategies across the appropriate lines of business and/or the entire enterprise.
  5. Implements sourcing strategies and market approach, negotiating “best in class” commercial solutions aligned to business drivers or delivering specified components thereof.
  6. Benchmarks new processes, approaches, and technology that will continually drive improvements on performance and business results
Cost Management
  1. Review all requisitions to ensure that purchases are made within the various cost centers’ set capital and Operational expenditure budgets.
  2. Evaluate and where applicable, negotiate offers from pre-qualified suppliers based on the Procurement Policy in a timely manner and at lowest total cost of ownership without compromising quality
  3. People Management
  4. Identify appropriate training and development programs and initiatives to support on-going personal growth and development
Control
  1. Strict adherence to utilization of approved supplier database
  2. Ensure sourcing is in line with organizational and regulatory governance provisions.
  3. Control and manage procurement related documentation for reference and audit purposes.

Self-Development
  1. Identifies appropriate formal and occupational (informal) training needs and courses (internal/external) to develop oneself
