Job Summary

KRCS with support from APHIAPLUS Western Kenya Project will continue targeting HIV positive and negative men and women catching, processing, and trading in fish in Kisumu East Sub-county of Kisumu County. In line with KMOT Study, the project shall continue to refer to this population segment as fisher folk. The position holder will assist in developing, managing, mobilizing and implementing activities targeting fisher folks within beach management units in Kisumu County-Kisumu East Sub County. In collaboration with project officer, county Public Health Officer, local government and CSO’s in the respective field, the position holder will also design and manage partnerships between non health workers in the sub county.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in control and account for the use of project resources and assets.
  • Assist in managing relevant project financial transactions.
  • Prepare and develop weekly, activity, monthly, quarterly and other status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents and keeping of records.
  • Assess, promote and document ideas for technical improvement and further program development options.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need are identified, and explore and assess new and better ways to assist.
  • Attend county and sub county HIV and AIDS - partner meetings: harmonize approaches and share materials.
