The primary focus of this role will be to work with the Fuzu team and a leading NGO to drive the on-the-ground implementation of an exciting initiative focused on improving the livelihood of refugee and host community in the BIdiBidi refugee center. This initiative is one of the first to drive a digital-first approach to support employment in the refugee context. The project will have a complex execution road map requiring close collaboration with multiple partners. The role will require spending at least 75% of time in the West Nile Region. The expectation is that the Project Manager will live in Yumbe for the duration of the project with intermittent trips to Kampala.
The secondary focus of this role will be to work directly with the Uganda Country Manager to drive growth of the Fuzu platform in the Ugandan market. The exact responsibilities are yet to be determined and will be matched to the skills of the incoming candidate


  1. Creating detailed implementation and workplan for the project
  2. Conducting end-user focus groups to understand changes required for the Fuzu platform
  3. Working with the Fuzu product team to support the optimization of the platform
  4. Coordinating with community mobilizers to implement multiple roll-out and end-user on-boarding methodologies
  5. Job-mapping of opportunities in and around the West-Nile region
  6. Training of potential end-users and employers on how to use the Fuzu platform
  7. Collaboration with multiple partners to ensure execution of the project
  8. Creating and end-of-project impact and learnings report

Key Competencies - an ideal candidate would have:
  1. Experience working with both NGOs and the Private Sector
  2. Proven track record of managing complex projects with many stakeholders
  3. Proven track record of working independently
  4. Strong organization skills
  5. Experience structuring detailed implementation workplans
  6. 3-5 years of work experience

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
