Job Summary

The Project Manager will be line managed by the Country Technical Coordinator and will work closely with the Data Centre Manager, AMF, Sub-Recipients, data entry supervisors and clerks. This role also works with other project managers and indirectly supports the district team, Ministry of health, National Malaria control programme and other partners and stakeholders who are linked to the project


1. Project management and administration (75%)

• Support the Data Centre Manager and operations/ logistics team to set up the data centre with support from AMF
• Ensure effective project start up in coordination with the Malaria Consortium Operations/ Logistics team
• Recruit and technically manage the project team including the data centre manager, data entry supervisors and clerks and other support staff such as IT officer
• Develop work plans in line with the agreed project scope and approach
• Oversee the implementation and ensure effective technical quality of all project activities
• Ensure effective coordination with and capacity building support to the Ministry of Health/NMCP at all levels of the health system
• Ensure effective and collaborative relationships with all project partners and that complementary approaches are established with other projects with similar geographical locations or technical approaches
• Oversee project budget planning and expenditure
• Ensure effective financial and narrative reporting in accordance with donor and Malaria Consortium requirements
• Provide effective support to all AMF visits relating to both project planning, delivery and review
• Provide support to needs assessments

• Support Malaria Consortium Uganda communications efforts, including the documentation of case studies, success stories and the preparation and effective dissemination of project briefings

2. Technical and Operation Assistance (25%)
• Representation at subnational level in the operational area
