Job Summary

Job Qualifications

  1. Be a Kenyan citizen;
  2. Be a holder of at least a Bachelor’s Degree from a university recognized in Kenya and a Post-graduate qualification in any of the following: Public Relations, International Relations, Diplomacy and Marketing;
  3. Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C+ and above;
  4. Have working experience in Public Relations or Protocol Service;
  5. Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles of service as outlined in articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010;
  6. Be computer literate; and
  7. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.


  1. Organizing and coordinating official events;
  2. Preparing guest list and seating arrangements;
  3. Coordinating arrangements for press coverage of official functions;
  4. Facilitating linkages with other institutions and organizations;
  5. Ensuring   efficient and effective communication with stakeholders and visitors to the office of the Governor and/or County Government;
  6. Facilitating appointments;
  7. Ensuring proper etiquette for official engagements; and
  8. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

The Nairobi City County is the creation of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and successor of the defunct City Council of Nairobi. It operates under the auspices of the Cities and Urban Areas Act, The Devolved Governments Act and a host of other Acts.
