The ideal candidate for the position must have exemplary business etiquette with a strong work ethic, high level of integrity, results oriented and ability to deliver under pressure; a thorough technical understanding of the interior design/construction industry as well as an ability to read architectural drawings. Procurement experience will similarly be key. The selected candidate must be good at maintaining great
relationships with suppliers and sub- contractors for smooth business operations, be able to effectively manage the company stock inventory and assets. Great organization and coordination skills will be instrumental in ensuring that all logistical aspects are handled flawlessly.The successful candidate must possess:
  • A Degree in Quantity Surveying/Bachelor of Purchasing and Supplies Management/ Bachelor of Procurement
    and Logistics /Higher Diploma in Procurement
  • 3-4 years’ experience in the construction
    industry in a similar role
  • Professional
    registration with BORAQs (The Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity


Quantity Survey
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities and other documents
  • Undertaking costs analysis for project work and providing advice and forecasts costs
  • Assisting in establishing clients’ requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
  • Preparation of consultancy proposals, work plans and method statements
  • Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders
  • Providing advice on contractual arrangements and claims
  • Preparation of valuations, financial appraisals, final accounts
  • Maintaining awareness of the different ongoing projects within the office
  • Represent the company at different project meetings
  • Identify and contract suppliers for frequently required products on agreed terms of credit or payment
  • Negotiate and settle on per unit pricing for all projects/office consumables
  • Disburse and monitor project consumables against set project progress, raising flags where there is a mismatch in consumption against project
  • Prepare and submit project resource utilization reports to management
  • Attend and report on project meetings with keen interest on the procurement activities and concerns
  • Prepare project procurement schedules for sign off with the MD and Financial Controller.
  • Generate and issue LPO’s (Local Purchase Orders) to suppliers to ensure delivery of
    products for projects
  • Return and demand for refund on faulty supplies from any of the
  • Management of the stock inventory and company assets

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
