Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Radiologist, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:

  1. To adhere to all the laid-down safety procedures in carrying out duties in the department.
  2. To maintain confidentiality of radiology reports and good public relations in all internal and external interactions.
  3. To perform fluoroscopy and other special procedures, ultrasound scans and CT scan procedures for diagnostic purpose according to the clinical requirement of the referring physician and provide radiological report.
  4. To administer contrast materials during radiological procedures Verify typed reports and sign for authorization.
  5. Making decisions regarding immediate management and further referral of patients Enhancing evidence based practice Maintaining patient confidentiality and professional work ethic
  6. Carrying out on the job training on mentorship mentoring senior registrars in the specialist recognition program and medical officers in the clinics and wards
  7. Participating in and spearhead hospital based research Participating in research, developing clinical protocols and facilitating CME
  8. Championing continuous quality improvement in clinical practice and service delivery
  9. Advocating for patients and champion continual improvement
  10. Ensuring all standards are met including quality of care, turnaround times, effective communication amongst and quality customer service amongst others
  11. Participating in on-call Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
